Gold tumbles Rs 710; silver plummets Rs 2,690

Gold prices tumbled Rs 710 to Rs 60,970 per 10 grams in the national capital on Friday amid weak global cues, according to HDFC Securities. The yellow metal had settled at Rs 61,680 per 10 grams in the previous trade.

Silver also plummeted Rs 2,690 to Rs 73,445 per kg.

“Gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 60,970 per 10 grams, down Rs 710 per 10 grams,” Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst – Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.
In the overseas market, gold and silver were quoting lower at USD 2,009 per ounce and USD 24.10 per ounce, respectively.
