Gold declines Rs 330; silver tumbles Rs 1,650

Gold prices declined Rs 330 to Rs 61,370 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday amid weak global trends, according to HDFC Securities. In the previous trade, the precious metal had closed at Rs 61,700 per 10 grams.

Silver also tumbled Rs 1,650 to Rs 75,950 per kg.

“Spot gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 61,370 per 10 grams, down Rs 330 per 10 grams,” Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst – Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.
In the international market, both gold and silver were trading lower at USD 2,026 per ounce and USD 25.10 per ounce, respectively. Gold prices edged lower in Asian trading hours on Thursday as volatility in yellow metal expanded post US inflation data, Gandhi said.
