Gold gains Rs 80; silver advances Rs 260

Gold price rose by Rs 80 to Rs 60,660 per 10 gram in the national capital on Monday amid gains in rates of the precious metal internationally, according to HDFC Securities. In the previous trade, the yellow metal had settled at Rs 60,580 per 10 gram.

Silver also climbed Rs 260 to Rs 76,040 per kg.

“Spot gold price in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 60,660 per 10 gram, up Rs 80 per 10 gram,” Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst – Commodities at HDFC Securities, said.

In the overseas markets, both gold and silver were trading higher at USD 2,009 per ounce and USD 25.55 per ounce, respectively.

Gold traded higher in Asian trading hours on Monday.

Comex spot gold price is trading up by 0.30 per cent at USD 2,009 per ounce against its previous close, Gandhi said
