Tokyo reportedly to not request extension of COVID-19 measures

This is with regards to the quasi-state of emergency measures that is in place until 21 March. The omicron outbreak in Japan has appeared to move past its peak already so this is an understandable decision. It will only be a matter of time before Japan opens up and transitions to the endemic phase.
