Copper futures rise on fresh bets

News

NEW DELHI: Copper prices on Friday rose by 0.62 per cent to Rs 677 per kg in futures trade on a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery traded higher by Rs 4.15, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 677 per kg in a business turnover of 3,611 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to increase in bets by participants, driven by a pick-up in spot demand.
